Family Counselling Project
2010 saw the launching of a new project in the Family Reunification Programme, Family Counselling Workshops. We conducted 2 workshops, on 14-16th May and 25-27th June, working with 3 families on each occasion with 5 members of staff facilitating. They were held at Pax Crisiti Pastoral Centre in Newcastle where the group were able to work in a peaceful, private environment. It was very rewarding for the families to experience a weekend away together in a comfortable environment where they were able to bond as a family unit.
The workshops included sessions on: counselling, behaviour/conflict management, family discussions, problem solving and income generation.
