Hello and Welcome to St. Anthony's new Website.

We are excited to announce the launch of our new website. We hope that this website will help us to tell a story, to celebrate the courage, diverse background, uniqueness and holistically care of all our children.

Taking this opportunity, I am writing in a spirit of humble acknowledgement and grateful thanks to all those who have willingly given of their energy, talents to help with smooth running of the Home and the upliftment our children. So I need to start by thanking all Board Members and staff for their continued commitment and hard work. Keeping our Vision focused on our mission to the less fortunate was crucial in our quest to be instruments of God’s Love and Care

However, it must be remembered that nothing of worth can ever be achieved without a great deal of planning, commitment, dedication and hard work

This website tells some of the stories about the work St Anthony’s Home is doing in the areas of Staff development, Children’s Activities, Outreach and spiritual programmes. This must be viewed as harmonious whole with all working towards fulfilling our vision and mission.

Our purpose continues to be that of providing a carrying environment for our children where they can feel secure and loved and be given the opportunity to develop into well – adjusted, happy young people equipped to take their place in the community.

Ongoing training and in service for staff to improve their skills is vital aspect of our organisation. The Home continues to benefit from the generosity of the caring parishes in the Diocese of Dundee through Reach for A Star which takes place annually.

 
Yet they seem somehow inadequate when we consider the significance of what has been achieved both in terms of what it has allowed us to do but also in giving us confidence for the future. It is my belief that in decades to come, future generations will look back on our efforts just as we look back with gratitude on those who have gone before us. The work is not over until God says is over. We hope that you will be able to help us carry forward this enterprise – to ensure that we can continue to build on the foundation what we/they have already successfully laid towards growing and developing St Anthony’s.

If I were to sum up the message I want to give to you, our website visitor,partner and friend of St Anthony’s, I would use two simple words – Thank You for your interest in St. Anthony's work and life. Don't hesitate to visit us online and most importantly, we would like your feedback. Tell us here how we are doing and how we can improve this website and/or other areas of our work.
